Barlow earned his J.D. with honors from The University of Texas School of Law, where he was also the recipient of the George E. Seay Endowed Presidential Scholarship and a member of the Order of the Coif, a national honorary society for law school students. Barlow has since devoted his practice to complex litigation on behalf of victims – ranging from workingmen stricken with occupational cancer all the way to Fortune 500 companies.
Currently, his specific areas of focus include pharmaceutical and medical device litigation on behalf of individual victims and governmental entities, representing victims of food poisoning, cases brought on behalf of catastrophically injured victims, and insurance litigation on behalf of wronged policyholders. During his career, Barlow has won verdicts on behalf of his clients in the areas of toxic tort, catastrophic injury, and commercial litigation.
Barlow is a member of the State Bars of Texas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. He is a current Fellowship Member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, a member of the American Association for Justice, and a member of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. He is a past member of the Board of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and a member of its continuing legal education committee.
