The American Law Society is proud to announce Denise A. Pollicella has been accepted as a new member. For over 20 years Mrs. Pollicella has held a history of excellence, determination, and dedication. Her reputation has earned her recognition among "America's Top Lawyers" from the American Law Society Board.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from the University of Michigan simultaneously working in Senator Carl Levin’s Detroit offices. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State Law and founded her firm Pollicella & Associates post-graduation. Her practice areas include Private & Corporate Divisions of Business Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions, Labor & Employment, Regulatory & Licensing, and Corporate Law.
Currently, Denise is the Managing Partner of Pollicella & Associates, PLLC and in 2009 founded Cannabis Attorneys of Michigan to advance Marihuana law in Michigan. She holds innumerable accolades for her work and dedication in the field of law and judiciary and was recently appraised to be named as one of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2017 Women in the Law.
Denise’s one o
f the most prominent achievement throughout her career has been through her involvement in the crafting of the legislation that is now PA 281 of 2016. As per the legislation, Medical Marijuana Facilities Licensing Act, Denise has been a strong activist for decriminalizing medical marijuana for patients, caregivers, and emerging canna-businesses for nearly a decade. Apart from being a writer, speaker and educator on Michigan’s rapidly developing Marijuana Laws, Denise have played a pivotal role in this movement.
Denise enjoys spending time with her two children and has started her own Livingston County practice in her hometown since 2003. Down the line, she plans to involve herself more with Teach start-ups.
