The American Law Society is proud to announce Radha D. Curpen has been accepted as a new member. Radha’s history of dedication and excellence earned her recognition of the Boards’ “America’s Top Lawyer” Distinction. Radha D. Curpen is the Vancouver Managing Partner and Co-Head of Aboriginal Law at Bennett Jones LLP, an internationally recognized Canadian law firm.
She employs her profound expertise in environmental and regulatory matters to negotiate with regulatory authorities and First Nations on environmental projects. Her many accolades speak to her success: Chambers Canada, ranked, Environment (2016-2018); Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business, ranked, Environment (2015-2017); and The Legal 500 Canada, recommended, Environment, Aboriginal Law (2018).
As evidence of Radha’s commitment to her discipline, she disseminates her expertise to her students as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law for the Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility course. She also served as a sessional lecturer at Robson Hall Faculty of Law for the environmental law course from January 1995 to 1999.
Radha earned her BA from College Universitaire de Saint-Boniface/University of Manitoba. She earned her LLB from L'Universite; de Moncton. She is fluent in both English and French and sits on the YWCA Metro Vancouver Culture Shift Advisory Council.
