About Dr. Oliver Von Schweinitz

A Partner at GGV and Tax Attorney Specialist, Oliver serves as an adviser to entrepreneurs & companies, both in national & international Tax Law. Oliver’s focus also includes Commercial & Real Estate Law and advising on Project Management in Hamburg and Frankfurt, Germany.

Oliver became an Attorney, following in both of his parents footsteps. He received his LL.M (Masters of Law) from Duke University School of Law in 2005, focusing on banking, corporate, finance & securities law.  Oliver is also fluent in German, English, Spanish & French and has contributed several publications in German language and also participated in an interview with Todd Buell regarding mortgage savings on November 3, 2016. 

Oliver's Specialty & Focus: Banking regulatory law (dual banking legislation, Dodd Frank Act), commercial and tax laws – also with regards to US law, information exchange laws (QI, FATCA, CRS), private equity, real estate and real estate tax law, the taxation of open and closed-end funding.
